• The official instructions say: “Write your Roll No. in the boxes on the right hand side (02 places) of the title page of the Answer Book.” (JKBOSE)

• Use BLUE ball-pen or ink only. Do not use green, red, or black inks. (JKBOSE)

2. Check the answer book pages

• The answer book normally has 28 pages (including title and back page). If you find more or fewer pages, immediately inform the Centre Superintendent. 

• If blank sheets remain unused, you should cross them (-- mark them so they’re not counted as blank pages) because leaving blank sheets may be treated as unfair. 

3. Don’t carry prohibited items

• Use paragraphs, bullet points where applicable, so your answer is structured and easily readable by the examiner.

• Keep the margins clean: don’t write too close to the binding or edge.

• If you leave a page blank intentionally, cross it out (so it’s clear you didn’t skip accidentally).

• Underline important points or headings (but don’t overdo formatting).
