History of Jammu and Kashmir High Court
→History: full-fledged High Court of Jammu and Kashmir was established in 1928.
Ruler of State (Maharaja) was the Authority in Adminstration of Justics.
→ 1889, the British gout asked ruler Maharaja Pratab singh to appoint a Council, and the Judical members of the Council All Powers Civil & Criminal side.
Jammu and Kashmir State has two Provinces. Jammu and Kashmir had Cheif judges. exercising Judicial authority but they are under Control of Law members of the Council.
→Council abolished and minister designated as Judge of H.C appointed by the Rular ou decided Judical Cases.
→1927-a new Constitution was Sanctioned by the Rular of the State and Instead of law member, A Ministry in the Judicial Department was created.
+1928 Virtue of order No I dated 26-03-1928. The H.c of Judicature was established and first time the High Court was To Consist Cheif Justics and two Judges on 26.3.1928.
Maharaja appoint → LALA KANWAR SEIN as 1st Cheif Justics of H.C Rai Bahadur Lala Bodh Raj Sawhney and kuan Sahib agha Syed hussain as Puisne Judges.

1939 The ruler Promgulated the Constitution Act of 1996 which Incorporated the Provisions of law relating to the high Court and Conferred upon the high Court a Substantial measure of indepedences.

→The 1996 (1939 AD). Act Constituted a 3 members Board of Judicial Advisor akin to the Privy Council in British India.

Request C.J.I, Gout of indian in Consultation with the C.J.I→ Constituted a Special Bench of the Supreme Court ok india Consisting of Justics Mahar Chand Marajan, Cheif Justics of india, Justics S.R. Das and Justics Ghulam Hassan for disposing off 17 appeals.
Bench heared in Srinagar and upheld the Judgement of the High Court all the 17 appeals.
